Would you like to get fit? Improve your health? You don't need to use machines or heavy weights to get fit or stay fit. I use resistance bands, light weights and other transportable equipment to provide a challenging workout. Sessions typically involve cardiorespiratory, strength, flexibility, and balance training.
Head Into Fitness provides classes and personal training for men and women over 65 in the east end of Toronto.
Head into Fitness comes to your venue - your home, community room, community centre in Toronto`s east end. In some venues, we will supply the equipment. You may be asked to bring a yoga mat.
I am a long time fitness enthusiast. Over the years, I have enjoyed all kinds of fitness classes, cycling, running, and working out with weights. After a back injury, I decided to become a certified Personal Trainer, Older Adult Specialist, and Fitness Instructor Specialist (canfitpro) and Senior's Fitness Instructor (Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging) in order to share my enthusiasm with others.I have also completed Bonefit training (Osteoporosis Canada), arthritis specific training (Arthritis Foundation), Heart Wise training as well as other courses specific to senior's fitness. I teach fitness classes privately as well as for community centres. To stay fit, I inline skate, run, cycle, and resistance train.
